iMazing activation issues
Updated on Mar 31, 2026
Reading time ~2 minutes
To validate your license, iMazing connects to its licensing server at api.imazing.com. This is a service address used internally by iMazing, it cannot be accessed from a web browser.
If the connection fails, you may see one of the following error messages:
- "Your computer seems to be offline. Please check your Internet connection and try again."
- "iMazing's licensing platform is temporarily unavailable. Please try again in a few minutes."
If this is the case, follow the troubleshooting steps below.
Check your internet connection
Make sure your computer has an active internet connection before proceeding.
Check your firewall or antivirus
Third-party firewall and antivirus software, particularly on Windows, frequently block outgoing connections made by applications like iMazing. If you have such software installed, add api.imazing.com to its allowlist.
Tip: If you are unsure which software is causing the block, temporarily disabling your antivirus and retrying the activation is a quick way to confirm it is the source of the issue.
Check your proxy settings
If you are using a proxy, configure it in Preferences > Network in iMazing. If you are unsure whether a proxy is active on your system, follow the steps below.
macOS
- Open System Settings, then click Network.
- Select the network service you are using, for example Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
- Click Details, then open the Proxies tab.
- Check whether any of the following options are enabled: Auto Proxy Discovery, Automatic Proxy Configuration, Web Proxy (HTTP), Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS), SOCKS Proxy.
- If any option is enabled, a proxy is active. Configure it in Preferences > Network in iMazing.
Windows
- Open Settings, then click Network & Internet.
- Click Proxy.
- Check whether a proxy is configured.
- If a proxy is active, configure it in Preferences > Network in iMazing.
Enterprise networks
If your computer is connected to an enterprise network, you may need to ask your system administrator to allow outbound connections to api.imazing.com on port 443 (HTTPS), and if needed, configure your enterprise proxy in Preferences > Network in iMazing.
