iOS 26.4 and Wi-Fi Device Connectivity

If you updated to iOS 26.4 and your iPhone or iPad no longer appears in iMazing over Wi‑Fi, the problem is not specific to iMazing.

iOS 26.4 introduced an Apple-side issue that prevents local Wi‑Fi connectivity with iOS devices. This impacts any software that communicates with iOS devices wirelessly, including iMazing, iTunes and Apple Devices for Windows, or Finder on macOS versions earlier than the latest 26.4 update.

How to confirm the issue is not iMazing

On Mac

  1. Connect the device via USB and open Finder.
  2. Select the device in the Finder sidebar.
  3. Enable “Show this iPhone when on Wi‑Fi.”
  4. Disconnect the USB cable.

On Windows

  1. Connect the device via USB and open iTunes or Apple Devices.
  2. Select the device, open Summary, and enable “Sync with this iPhone over Wi‑Fi.”
  3. Disconnect the USB cable.

Conclusion

If the device does not reappear over Wi‑Fi in Finder, iTunes or Apple Devices (Apple’s own software), iMazing won’t be able to connect to devices over Wi‑Fi. iMazing relies on the same Apple drivers for Wi‑Fi connectivity, so this behavior points to an iOS-level issue introduced in iOS 26.4.

Recommended workaround

  • Use USB. All iMazing features work normally over a wired connection, including automatic backups.
  • On Mac: updating to macOS 26.4 also restores Wi‑Fi connectivity. After updating, we recommend toggling Wi‑Fi off and back on in iMazing’s Device Settings (Settings → Wi‑Fi Connection).
  • On Windows: USB is currently the only reliable option. Updating drivers does not resolve this issue yet.

Report the issue to Apple

If possible, please file a report via Feedback Assistant. Reports help Apple prioritize a fix.

We have already submitted a report on our side, and we are actively investigating whether there is any reliable workaround we can implement in iMazing. We will update this post if we find one, or if Apple releases a patch.
